What they find is... not what they expected. Feeling dejected from yet another day of defeating monsters so easily, he ponders to the heavens if there still a purpose for him. Just then, a portal suddenly appeared and swallowed Saitama. To make matters worse, the people here fight using bizarre spiritual shields and unique superpowers called "Aura" and "Semblances", concepts that mean absolutely nothing to a guy who just did a lot of push-ups.
