on a spontaneous effort for his parents to cure his depression, caleb's parents send him out on a road trip around the country with his therapist to take care of him. caleb is far past gone. he is at least glad that this opportunity will give him a chance to get away from his parents, who mean well, but have only succeeded in making it worse with his constant prying. out of all of his therapists, lane is his favorite. caleb hasn't spoken a word to any of his therapist's during the years of treatment, but lane is the one that made him want to for even a second. caleb is beginning to think there may be a positive side to this after all, if that's possible.
lane has never done anything like this. he's a therapist, not a babysitter. he remembers caleb, the boy who refuses to talk. he's talked to his boss about this and he's getting paid for his leave, plus a fair amount from the desperate parents themselves. he'll at least get to see all the sights he's wanted to see while taking care of this broken boy, right? something tells him he's not excited about the sights.
do you feel it, boy?
do you feel it?
