"Either you become a cheater and fuck me, or you break up with her and still fuck me. I'll win either way." . . "I usually get everything I want. But it wasn't the same case with him. I could show off my sweet smile and flutter my lashes, but that still wouldn't make him mine." At the ripe age of nineteen, it's an understatement to say that Aurora Amoretto's love life is a bit... bland. But what she has yet to discover, is that there will be a certain man who will change that.

"I saw the way he looked at you," Ethan whispered, his voice a low growl. "Do you enjoy being desired by every man who crosses your path?" Verena's response was a defiant glare, but Ethan, unyielding, continued, "You're mine, Verena. Don't forget that." · . . "You're hurting me, Ethan," Verena finally uttered, her voice a desperate plea. His grip tightened, a silent acknowledgment of the storm raging within him. She was a loyalist to the rules until she unwittingly developed a taste for danger. She began to mistake recklessness for freedom, intoxication for strength, until the lines between caution and calamity dissolved altogether. And then there was him. The one they whispered about. The one with blood on his hands and shadows in his eyes. The one who looked at her like he had already decided how this would end. She did not want him, not until his cards came into play and she realized he had marked her as his ace, the piece he would use to topple the table and destroy the pot. She realized that falling back on the rules couldn't save her. It was already too late. He was going to ruin her, and she could feel the truth of it in her bones. He would twist her into a weapon, his own fire to ignite the empire. But one can forget how fickle the flames can be. Stoke them too much, and they no longer obey. They consume everything, even the hands that set them ablaze. ❥❥❥❥❥ ❣︎ 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. ❣︎ 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬. ❣︎ 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨.

"No-please-don't do this!" Seraphina sobbed, her voice cracking as she clung to her eldest brother's wrist. "I-I'll be good. I'll do whatever you say, just don't-" A sharp crack echoed through the room as his palm struck her cheek, sending her crashing to the marble floor. Pain exploded across her skin, but it was nothing compared to the terror clawing at her chest. From above, his voice was cold. Unmoved. "You will marry him." She shook her head wildly, crawling backward until her spine hit the wall. "He's a monster," she whispered, her breath shuddering. "He's not human. Please, don't make me do this. I'll die." Her second brother crouched in front of her, grabbing her chin roughly, forcing her to look at him. His lips curled, eyes void of warmth. "Then die." Her breath hitched. "But you will die as his wife." The door behind them creaked open. Heavy footsteps. Her father stepped inside, his expression unreadable. "Lock her in this room," he ordered. "She will not step out until her wedding day." Sera thrashed as hands seized her, dragging her toward the massive iron doors. "No! Please-Father, please!" But he didn't even look at her. The last thing she saw before the door slammed shut was her brothers standing side by side, indifferent as she was thrown into a fate worse than death. Then darkness. And the only thing left was the suffocating truth. She was a sacrifice. A bride to the Sinister, a devil himself. #A STANDALONE BOOK

After not seeing each other for nearly eight years, Justin and Laila are suddenly forced to spend the entire summer together. Now if that's not bad enough, Justin and Laila couldn't be more opposite from each other. At first it's plainly clear to everyone that they're just not going to get along at all. But the more Justin and Laila actually get to know each other - and when they aren't fighting over something stupid - the two slowly realize that maybe there are things in life they'll need each other to figure out. If Justin is arrogant, snarky, and just a bit too handsome for his own good, then Laila may just end up going insane. And if Laila's clever, quick-witted, and beyond pretty, then God help Justin. So the same thought on both of their minds? Is this going to be the summer of a life time or what?

Archer Morales has never believed his life was meant to be anything other than pure hell in which every minute feels like a struggle to keep breathing. That's why he's so keen on ending it. Not because he wants to, but only because he has no idea how to stop the dark, intrusive thoughts or the crippling depression that's always kept him in a chokehold. At this point, Archer has all but accepted that this is simply how he is - broken. He doesn't know if he even wants help or how to ask for it, and admitting he needs it when Archer's own mother has demons of her own to battle doesn't seem like an option. Things are hard enough keeping the family coffeehouse running and making sure Archer's little sister, Rosie, never learns the horrid truth about what happened to their father - or how much Archer feels responsible for it. Just as he's sure he's mapped out his next steps to permanently solve his problems, the last person in the world Archer expects to make him think twice enters the picture: Hadley Jamison. He doesn't know what to make of the popular girl who always seems to be smiling and is way too determined to become his friend. Archer is overly suspicious of Hadley and her intentions at first, but the walls he's spent so long building to keep himself safe start coming down much quicker than he would've thought. Despite all the change - and some of that change Archer can admit is good - there's still one thing he's certain of: nothing good lasts forever. At least, that's what he's always told himself. But now that the blinders are coming off and Archer realizes he's not as alone as he'd thought, he can't help but be terrified of what will happen if the very thing he never really thought existed - love - is snatched away from him. And possibly the hardest lesson Archer is about to learn is that while you can't run from your past, you can change your future - even if you always felt like you never deserved one.
