LEGO didn't show Kai's trauma after Monstrosity. That's where I come in! I got bored of watching Lego dismiss Kai's trauma all the time. So this fic will show it. Sure, it was a process, it was in the making for a while, Kai just never believed something like this could ever actually happen. Cole was so caught up in his rebellion against his father that their friendship became collateral damage. People grow and they grow apart but that wasn't supposed to apply to them too. They were the for-lifers, the beyond-the-gravers. It was them against the world until it wasn't. And now all Kai had left were memories and a whirlwind of emotions and feelings. He should've known high school was going to be a mess even for somebody like himself.

Kai x Cole! [Lavashipping] A gate leading to a network of underground tunnels is discovered near Ninjago City. The ninjas venture into the darkness to see if any danger lurks below. Unfortunately, Kai and Cole are stuck down there on their own. They have to survive in hostile conditions. To make matters worse, this place has a negative impact on Cole's condition.

Two different gangs that are evil.. The gang had gotten themselves into a situation that they can't get out of.. It gets even worse when two members of the gang shows their true colors and shows who they really are. Will the gang keep it together? Kai and Cole were already in love. No secrets. No questions. Just something steady they never had to define out loud. Then a mission in thick, unnatural smoke changes everything. Kai survives-but his memory doesn't come back the same. He wakes up with gaps where important moments should be. Familiar names feel unfamiliar. Entire conversations feel like they belonged to someone else. And worst of all-there's a strange emptiness where something deeply personal used to be. But even with the missing pieces, one thing doesn't change. Cole. Kai doesn't understand why he trusts him so easily. Why his thoughts slow when Cole is near. Why his body reacts before his mind can catch up Cole, on the other hand, remembers everything. And now he's watching the person he loves look at him like he's someone he's meeting for the first time all over again. Except... it isn't exactly the first time. Because sometimes Kai says things he shouldn't know. Sometimes he reacts like he's remembering something just out of reach.

Kai has always been the strong one-the one who keeps moving, keeps fighting, keeps the fire burning no matter what. So when the mission goes wrong and the ground collapses beneath him, he doesn't panic. Not at first. Even when he's trapped under layers of stone, even when the light disappears and the air feels too still, Kai tells himself he's fine. He calls out, waits, tries to stay calm. Because that's what he's supposed to do. That's who he is. Strong. Steady. Unbreakable. The silence stretches. And little by little, something starts to crack. The darkness feels heavier. The space feels smaller. His voice doesn't sound as confident as it should. Thoughts he doesn't want creep in-what if they didn't hear him? What if they think he didn't make it? What if no one is coming back? But Kai pushes it down. Because he's not the one who falls apart. He's not the one who gets scared. By the time Cole finally finds him, breaking through the rubble and pulling him back into the light, Kai already has it buried. Gone. Hidden. Locked away where no one can see it.

[NINJAGO MODERN AU!] Freedom is something that Cole Brookstone has always wanted. Living under his father's strict rules after his mother had passed away, he constantly runs to the Ninjago Cafe almost every day where his dear best friend; Jay Walker works at. Though Jay's company can ease his mind, there is still an uneasiness that stirs his chest every now and then. Until one day, he meets Kai; a mysterious college student who takes a interest in Cole's poems and believes anything that Cole does. A young man with soft brunette eyes full of stars and faith. A person who feels like a dream comes true, even though more than half of him is shrouded in thick fogs. Only time will reveal everything, and Cole doesn't know if he's ready for it.
