Metal Sonic is known by all as Eggman's most famous creation. The killer robot with no emotions, the "one-note jerk", one of the doctor's most deadly machines. Metal couldn't really forge an opinion about the animosity toward him. But is he truly incapable of emotion? There's somewhere he goes when he isn't ordered on a mission or at Eggman's side. This place must be special if Metal returns to it on his own.

What does it mean to be a hero? Does it mean to be a shinobi? Does it mean to be a ninja admired by their peers? Does it mean to kill on the battlefield to save more lives than lost? What will happen to this world if a red-haired boy from a clan long gone decided to challenge this ideal? An impossible dream of saving people in a world that lives in a cycle of hate and conflict. With the help of his new friends, and the guidance of an elusive creator, can he stand up to the darkness and save his friends? Or will he become just another pawn in the darkness' grand plan...
