A short story. Maggie McCarthy, or M&M, has always been in the background. Only has a few friends, but are great friends. Participates in creative writing club and photography club—nothing else. But she does have a secret crush. No other than Brody Mitchel. He’s the quiet, loner of their school. Rumors fly about his past times, but no one is gutsy enough to go up to him. So Maggie decides to write a list: ‘In My Eyes’. There she’ll write what she sees in Brody and what happens when Brody gets his hands on her letter? Will he figure out who M&M is? Rose Compton is an innocent eight year old girl, dying from cancer. After a year of numerous treatments and pleas to recovery they've declared her battle with cancer lost and she should expect for her time to pass to come soon. This is a short story I had to write for school. The assignment was to write between 500-1500 words on a scene of a child's death and to make it fairly light hearted and not gory. Our lives has been this constant cycle of waking up ang going to sleep. Something in between is just predictable because we live in a routinely basis. We live in a fast pace because we have to. There's no time for pauses or even breaks. Slow down or stop, and you're left out. But there's this one moment. A moment where everything is in slow motion. The world somehow stops and waits for that moment to end. That moment where you felt THE SPARKS.
