Chloe Beale is a professor at Barden University. It is her first year as an English literature teacher. Beca Mitchell is entering her freshmen year of college. The two meet and fall madly in love but have to keep it low key in fear of Chloe losing her job which could ruin her life forever.

It Hurts. Every time I see them together, I am reminded that I can't have her. I am just her best friend. To her, I am only a small part of her life. But to me, she is my whole world. I want her to notice me the way I notice her, I want her to look at me the way she looks at Jesse. But that won't happen. It never will. (Trigger Warning) This story is very depressing but it's not a tragedy. Also it can get pretty frustrating at times, but it's worth the read.
