It seemed like Kayla Ryans and Jake Mitchells had it all figured out when they started their senior year of high school. Two talented and squared away people who happened to be crazy about each other. Now four years after they met they cringe at the sound of the other's name and refuse to discuss what happened between them. What happened? Clearly they didn't just drift apart. Now as the summer before their senior year of college starts they will be forced to confront each other and what happened between them. They've both changed drastically in four years, but when you get rid of all the tension and pain of the past can they fix the mess they've made? This is the sequel to "An Unlikely Duo" so I strongly recommend you read that first. The link is below. http://www.wattpad.com/story/31400137-an-unlikely-duo

When the quiet girl in Clayton Hugh's chemistry class comes knocking on his door at five in the morning barely covered up in her little pajamas, inattentive, and drooling like crazy, he has no choice but to take her inside. But once Lucy Walker wakes up inside a room she has never seen before wearing an over-sized t-shirt and gym shorts, you can imagine the pure panic setting in her. The subtle addition of Clayton entering the room shirtless doesn't help much either. After three years of fawning over him, leave it up to her sleepwalking to finally get Clayton Hugh to notice her.

Sometimes people force you to do things that you never wanted to do. Sometimes while doing those things you meet people that you never knew you needed to meet. You start to form friendships with these people and sometimes something special happens with that guy you didn't know you liked. These people start to become your world, but no world can be perfect. That guy you liked may seem incredible but there's something he's just too afraid to tell you. Oh, and your friends? They know what he's hiding too, but they've all decided to keep it from you. Forgetting it can sometimes be your only way to keep going. "You're eyes are shooting stars." "And what do you wish for, mon significative une?" "For you to tell my your deepest secrets." He was quiet for a moment but he didn't leave like I expected him to do. He just simply started to kiss my check while trailing down to my jaw, then neck, then up to my ear. He gripped my lobe between his teeth and right as he let it go he whispered something. "If I tell you my secrets, that gleam in your eye, that you seem to only look at me with, will forever be lost."

He lit his cigarette, I lit nothing. He drank alcohol, I drank water. He smirked, I smiled. He didn't love me, I didn't love him. He and I together wouldn't last a day. And then the game started... He said he found me intriguing, unique, and interesting because I didn't swoon over him. "You and me Grey, let's play a game. We'll date and in three months time I promise you will fall for me. When you fall in love with me between that time span, I win. If in any way you were to win I'll give up all the alcohol, cigarettes, and player ways." It was a game I wasn't willing to lose, but all games had accidents and consequences. It takes a broken heart to know how to break a heart.
