Emi is one of Spring's co-leaders. Her knowledge and experience make her one of its strongest members, helping keep their camp standing and their missions successful. But a dark cloud follows her everywhere. PTSD has a nasty habit of rearing its head when she needs to make difficult decisions, putting both herself and the people around her at risk. Miles is Spring's other co-leader, devising their plans of attack against the Supremacy. Unfortunately, his heart tends to lead his head. Between that and his impulsive nature, he makes some mistakes he can't take back. If only he had better timing when bringing up his relationship issues with Emi. Pablo never wanted to be part of Spring. He was "forced" into it because, as Miles's best friend, someone had to protect Miles from making stupid choices. Everyone in Spring is fucking stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. Except for Pablo. Kai isn't a member of Spring. In fact, he's on the complete opposite side of it. Unlike the dirty, starving Inerts living in the lower city, Amal, and Spring's camp, Kai is a Vocate who lives a life of luxury. He runs track for fun, attends Zafran's community college, and plays video games. Spring is the last of his concerns. Until Emi shows up at his front door and smoke from the airport fire fogs up the city. This is the story of Spring.
