A thousand years ago, The 11, blessed be, granted humanity a special gift - the ability to manifest spirits cloaked in one of their representative colors. These spirits grant their wielder extraordinary abilities when manifested, from minor to major depending on the strength of their soul. The Favored, those that can manifest the greatest spirits of all, are blessed enough to earn a spot in the Fold of the Holy Capital, where they train with the High Priest of their respective Temple to better serve the Will of The 11. Dahlia Rusco has spent her whole life dreaming of the day she manifests, praying to The 11 that she would be fortunate enough to become a high tier Manifestation like her mother. While most manifest in their early to late teens, Dahlia has reached the age of 20 without so much as a hint of power coming from her soul. She has become an outcast to those who fear the worst - that she may be a Deviant, one who has no color and is fated to be hunted and killed by the Devout. No one could have anticipated that Dahlia would manifest as a Favored, especially that of the Blue Dragon, and have the potential to gain elemental abilities beyond her control. Dahlia is soon whisked off to the Holy Capital, where she is plunged into a world far unlike the sleepy town of Lyre from which she hails. The competition is fierce between the Favored and yet, something more sinister lies beneath the holy facade of the Temple. Dahlia may soon discover that there is more to the Deviants than meets the eye...and become embroiled in a larger battle than she ever could have known. What are Deviants really? And who is the mysterious 12th Deity?

The screens on the sides of buildings were already on, advertising Particle City as if it were a perfect world. Ads of the Emperor and his dazzling smile. Posters of "happy" street-sweepers. And on the side, there was a large image of a Particle City worker facing the city's symbol with these words in-between: 'Til Death Do Us Part. A couple of days ago, those pictures would've reassured her. Comforted her. And now, it only clawed sharper at the odd ache in her chest. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ In the dystopian society of Particle City, happiness is shoved so far down a person's throat, it's hard to tell what's real and what's not anymore. Most everyone there is internally crumbling, but under their commander, humanity is simply a suggestion. So they put on a happy face and do their work. Astra is one of the thousands upon thousands of victims trapped in this vicious cycle of fake smiles and oppression that seems unbreakable. When she finds out the secrets of her beloved society, things unravel into a rebellion she never saw coming.

Some doors are locked for a reason. Centuries ago, Lucien was entrusted with the stewardship of a library unlike any other: a vast, hidden archive where the oldest truths of the world were kept safe from those who would twist them. Over the centuries, he has watched seekers come and go, most leaving empty-handed... if they left at all. Now, Isla's search for her missing sister leads her to the library's threshold. Drawn into its labyrinth of secrets, she finds herself under Lucien's watchful eye- unsure whether he means to help her, hinder her, or keep her there forever. As they follow a trail of ancient records and dangerous revelations, Isla begins to suspect her sister's disappearance is tied to something far larger and far older than she ever imagined. And in the library's depths, where history blurs with the present, the cost of finding the truth may be more than either of them can bear.
