Amelia has spent her entire life hiding one thing: her right eye.
As a half-Gorgon, Amelia knows exactly what happens when someone sees it. Her eye is unnaturally beautiful, but anyone who looks into it can be turned to stone. So she keeps it hidden, afraid of what might happen if someone sees it.
Then Felix, a new student, enters her life.
At first, Amelia can't stand him. He's annoying, confident, and somehow always knows how to get under her skin. But despite their constant arguments, she slowly finds herself falling for him.
There's just one problem: Felix is human.
Amelia has never forgotten the legend of Renesa, a Gorgon who supposedly fell in love with a human named Jason. According to the story, Jason betrayed Renesa and killed her for his experiments and research on Gorgons. Amelia promised herself she would never make the same mistake.
But everything changes when Felix accidentally sees her hidden right eye.
Instead of being turned to stone, Felix is captivated by its beauty. He doesn't fear her. He doesn't run away. If anything, seeing her eye only makes him fall even more in love with her.
As their relationship grows, Amelia discovers something she never thought was possible: love can break the curse of stoning. With Felix by her side, she begins learning how to control the powers she spent her entire life hiding.
But then Amelia and Felix uncover the truth behind the legend of Renesa and Jason.
Jason never killed Renesa.
He abandoned his research and chose to leave everything behind so he could live his life with Renesa. The story Amelia grew up believing was a lie.
Now Amelia has to question everything she thought she knew about Gorgons, humans, and love.
Because maybe the greatest danger isn't falling in love with a human.
Maybe it's believing that love will always end in betrayal.
