This story takes place after Chapter 17 in The Deal by Elle Kennedy, where Hannah attends Beau Maxwell's party as Garrett's "date". This is after their first kiss, which leaves them completely awkward around each other. They spend the evening catching each other's eye and wondering if the other is feeling the same way. Garrett gets annoyed after hearing that Justin has asked Hannah to coffee and study together, and Hannah reminds him that they are just friends...right? He reluctantly agrees, and now he is driving Hannah home.

This is another Hannah + Garrett story that is set in their senior year of college, as they prepare to celebrate Garrett's twenty-second birthday with Logan + Grace. Story will only be told from Hannah and Garretts POV.

Hannah is visiting Allie in New York, Dean is visiting Garrett in Boston. After Garrett's win, Hannah sends him a congratulatory text, and at the encouragement of Allie, the conversation gets spicier. Garrett, coached by Dean, responds in kind. Who will break first? Story told from the perspective of Hannah and Garrett, with small interludes from Dean & Allie's POV.

In chapter 16 of The Deal (Off Campus 1), Hannah and Garrett have their first kiss, initially motivated by a dare. Their kiss is interrupted by Dean. Hannah, mortified, then kisses Dean to throw him off of the scent of her desire for Garrett. The next chapter (17) describes Hannah and Garretts lingering desire for each other following that kiss, but I have always wondered, what would happen if they had an opportunity to finish that kiss and address the Dean interruption?
