Mitchelanene14
Romano should never have survived his coming-of-age ritual. It was supposed to be a routine transition, but when wings violently tore through his flesh in front of thirty-six witnesses, his pack slaughtered him on the spot. Shamed and broken, his father gathered his remains and buried them deep in the forest, hoping the secret would die there.
But death couldn't hold him.
Romano mysteriously returned, transformed into a creature of breathtaking, supernatural beauty. To humans, he looked like a flawless god, and women completely lost their minds around him. Yet beneath his perfect exterior lived a terrifying fury. He ruthlessly destroyed the village that killed him-burning their caves, killing their fish, and salting their earth. Even the wolves who fled into human territory couldn't escape; Romano hunted them down with powers twice as strong as theirs.
Driven by an obsession to build his own lineage, Romano began using his hypnotic pull to claim over a hundred women. None of them survived what grew inside them, leaving a trail of bodies the village viewed as a plague, but Romano dismissed as failed experiments.
Then, he met Mercury. He found her picking fruit alone in the deep forest, completely unbothered by the world. For the first time in his life, Romano hesitated. He hid himself and watched her, deeply unnerved by the way she affected him. He pursued her, but Mercury did the impossible-she walked away from him.
Before he could figure her out, the villagers ambushed him. They dragged him to the bottom of the ocean and sealed him inside the jaws of a chained, mythical dragon. Every single person who helped bury him died for it, but they accepted the cost to get rid of him. Romano is still trapped down there, buried for a second time, leaving only one question: is anything in this world actually strong enough to keep him buried for the second time?
