Jack does everything he can to protect his sister Mary: he works himself to the bone, cuts bills to save money, and tries to keep the ghosts of a painful family past at bay. But normality, for them, is too expensive a luxury. When Jack decides to invest his last savings to help two friends create Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction inspired by an old 1980s pizza chain, he thinks it's his chance to earn some money and give Mary a peaceful life. But something never meant to be found ends up in the trunk of his van: a discarded animatronic suit, stained by time and chlorine, with an all-too-human porcelain smile. Between a house engulfed in shadows, unresolved traumas, and disturbing visions that begin to creep into the gloom, Jack will discover that certain memories don't stay buried in the past. And that true terror comes in the form of a golden bear left too long in the darkness.
