There's something I wanted to tell Hee-Ju if I ever got to meet her again. I wanted to tell her I was sick of seeing fake tears and tears filled with excuses. So the fact that she cried for me when I wasn't there and how she looked after me while I was sleeping meant so much to me. - Yoo Jin Woo, Memories of the Alhambra ©All Rights Reserved Copyright©Mauli Singh 2018

|| Final Draft || I have never seen the world through the rose-tinted glasses of naive innocence. My glasses are a concoction of white and black, it is grey. That is what I read. That is what I learnt. And that is how I viewed people, in shades of grey and never of white and black. Yet, there are things you never read in books, and so you never learn. And when this happens, the foundation of your very life is shaken to the point where you can only pick yourself and the scattered pieces of the glasses you have conditioned yourself to see the world through. NOTE : 1) Previously titled 'TSOU: Her Fate'. 2) All the chapters have been taken down and will remain unavailable for a while as I'm rewriting them. || Final Draft || The more I try to live, the more I have to struggle. So, I gave up trying to live and chose to exist instead, because it's easier. And I think I managed to fare well...until Anaisha came back to my life like a storm I've been preparing myself to battle. The force with which she infiltrated the walls of iron I built around myself, wrecked the fortress of the facade I raised to conceal the skeletons I never wished for anyone to see -- she discovered them...and maybe, I hoped her to, as well. Yet, I had to run away, from her and those skeletons that swore to tear me down to flesh and bones. I never knew to love her, was to fight through the darkness I surrounded myself with. Perhaps, that is why she is my worst nightmare and my sweetest reverie -- I neither can stay with her, because she threatens my survival, nor can I live without her, because her absence threatens my existence.
