Ivory Dylan is an artist of many talents and a young girl that stands out in many ways. Her beauty, her way of thinking, everything about her seems different from the ways of the world around her. Her eighteenth birthday started as any other's would, a sweet wake up from her mother, meaningful gifts from the one's she loves, then off to school for her last day. However, as Ivory's day unravels she begins to realize small things about herself that she did not know before, including part of the meaning to her series of art work that she had been slaving over for the last month. Dragon after dragon and darkness after darkness appearing in painting after painting. Though the beauty and detail after each piece was no mystery, the message behind it was. During the evening of her eighteenth birthday Ivory notices a handsome young man that she swears she's seen before and from there, she starts to realize that her paintings are more than beautiful art on a canvas; they are a story of a world beyond hers, one she is linked to in more ways than she can imagine. Every artist does have a secret, but is Ivory Dylan's more than even she can handle?

The only thing that convinces her that the young man is telling the truth is when he reveals something very few people knew; her real name.
