The sound of war, fighting, death and blood melted away so Hermione could only hear the thud as Ron's body hit the floor as he ceased to live. His skin became pale. His eyes stared straight at the ceiling, lifeless and dull. Hermione crawled towards him, tears refused to leave her eyes. He wasn't dead. He couldn't be. He was Ron. Her one and only love. She touched his chest and felt the coldness seep into her.
