Her eyelids hazily revealed her exhausted sapphire eyes. Streams of flared light, and dancing specks of dust welcomed her consciousness. Still fogged with sleep, she noticed no sound apart from the warm breeze gently flowing through the open window in the corner of the room. The creamy colour of the walls struck a familiar string of memories. She was home, as far as she knew. Though she heard no birds outside her window, smelt no breakfast being cooked by her mother, saw no shadows roaming the usually swarming hallway, her conscience hinted something was different. Little did she know how different her life would soon become.
