People use Pokemon as co-workers and allies, some use them as pets, but then there are those who use Pokemon as mere tools and pawns to their ideas. We use Pokemon as partners in a tradition known as Pokemon battling, capturing Pokemon and competing across the regions in Pokemon Leagues in a quest for glory in becoming Champion.
