We sculpted them and in turn, they sculptured our very civilisation but that was then. Now, our gods have been forgotten, replaced by the more suitable monotheistic religious views and yet, we still hold on to some of the little practices we performed in those days. Our gods and their tales were not just folktales, they were the very foundation on which we laid our culture upon. So let's retell these stories that were such a great influence on our ancestors and who knows? Maybe we'll be able to pick up a few things. To know where we're going, we have to know where we've been. This story follows the journey of Odion as he is plunged deep into the affairs of the gods. He will face pain, desolation and strife but maybe, just maybe he will gain more than he has lost. Will he be able to face the ugly truth of what happened to his parents? Will he be able to rise to the oncoming torrent of challenges? Well, to be honest, I don't know. This is a story about a teenage Nigerian girl and how her life turned upside down, it's a story of sorrow, grief and hope. So, will her life turn right side up? Will she finally find happiness? Will she finally be able to look in the mirror with pride? Frankly, I don't know, so let's begin our journey, hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
