Jaycee is what you would call a "misfit". While she doesn't really act like one, she looks like one. She suffers from sever depression, although she doesn't show it. She keeps everything to herself, that is, until she is adopted. Her parents gave up their rights when she was fifteen, so she lived with her aunt for a while. Jaycee came back to her parents two years later to see if everything would work out. It didn't.

15 year old Dani Rictshaw is an orphan. Her teen mom gave her up to live in the foster system. Dani has secrets that nobody but her know. They can either save her, or destroy her. She's lived through depression and self harm, and has been strong for so long, but she's facing her demons again. Her father comes back, but for the first time only. Mr. Vic Fuentes, the vocalist for Pierce the Veil, has just found out about his daughter, and is taking her home. What happens when Vic uncovers one of her secrets and how will Dani cope?
