This girl never felt anything other than pain and sadness, being tortured everyday since her 3rd birthday, even then her captors never let her be happy. Never given her a name, never let her be a normal girl. She's been trapped in a cell since birth, her parents killed afterwards. She's never seen the bright sun, the smell of rain, nor the feel of anything under her feet as she was chained against the wall, hand fed by vicious people. Who are her captors? Monsters.

While on a camping trip, Merlin was obviously exhausted as he'd been acting strange all day. As he falls asleep, Gwaine finds a small leather bound journal hidden away in the servants coat, which he soon learns is a journal. He reads a few to himself, then to the Knights. They all soon realize how sad and how seemingly alone Merlin believes he is. They all realize, just how little they know about Merlin. [Hint: The Knights and Arthur learn about Freya!]

Merlin is attacked and won't tell Arthur anything. Arthur likes Merlin, his hand servant for almost 2 years, it breaks his heart to see Merlin this beat up and hurt. Arthur is trying to do whatever he can to forward his relationship with Merlin, while he tries to find out and understand what happened to his brunette servant.
