On June 6 1944, American soldiers arrive on the shores of Normandy. Among them, landing at Omaha Beach, Captain Dean Winchester and Private Castiel Novak, who isn't what you would call excited to be there.

In which Dean develops feelings for the quirky, tea drinking, farmer’s market attending bookstore owner and Sam insists on using Facebook relationship statuses as hard, cold evidence.

Castiel is a photographer on a mission to find the most beautiful thing he can and capture it on his camera. In a last ditch attempt, he flies to Paris, France. There, he finds the thing he was looking for.

When Castiel’s plans for the summer get cancelled and he’s left with nowhere else to go, Dean invites him to go home with him. It seems an easy solution to cure Castiel’s summer blues, but when they arrive at the Winchester household, Dean realizes due to a slight miscommunication with his mom he and Castiel will have to spend the summer sharing a bed and holding hands because the entire Winchester family thinks they’re dating. And really it shouldn't be that big of a deal because Dean Winchester isn't actually in love with his best friend; except for that he is.

Castiel is a lonely depressed 15 year old, who believes that dating before you're 18 is the worst thing a teenager can do. He's also a writer and quite the character. One night when he decides to go on one of his night walks he breaks all his own rules and ends up with a mysterious 19 year old named Dean. What happens when it turns out Dean is his only friends big brother? And how will Cas deal with his own demons? And the ones facing him at home and at school?
