When Eren first sees the small figure curled into himself, unmoving on the swing, he thinks it's a hallucination. It is impossible, because the Corporal is supposed to be his superior. He is supposed to be more experienced, more refined, more mature. But now, Eren is staring at that familiar face, posture... On a child. He has to blink to make sure his mind isn't just fucking with him, because it's just not possible. Surely reincarnation isn't playing some stupid trick on him? But the more he stares, the more obvious it is. That child isn't some carbon copy of his former Corporal; that person is definitely Corporal Levi. ...Right?

Corren's family is left shattered and in pieces after the suicide of Scott, Corren's brother. Six months later Corren has been in his third fight at school. His parents find this as an excuse to send him away, but Corren knows the real reason; they can't look him in the eye without seeing Scott. A new school, a new state, and a thousand miles away from home should mean a new start, but Corren is tired. He's tired of taking blades to his skin, he's done with his insomnia, and he's sick of feeling like Scott's death was his fault. Corren is without a doubt, tired of fighting. Drugs, love, family, friends. Being reckless is fun, but how far can you get before you're in too deep? Being this young, temptations are just begging for a chance! Will Corren win his battle, or is it too late for the boy with scars? [The Fighter's Series - Book 2] [Sequel to The Butterfly Effect]

* CURRENTLY ON A HIATUS * "Live for the people. Wait for morning." In this world, Xenophobia, also known as the fear of the unknown, is different. The people fear "the Unknown," which is a place home to a terrifying dream or nightmare no one would ever want to have. Everyone loves dreams - from soaring inhumanely high in the sky to twisting and bending what we all assume is the impossible. But, there are always those dreadful nightmares that we all loathe. They come to haunt you in your deep slumber, and, just like dreams, anything and everything are possible. Nightmares - the deepest, most appalling thoughts in your mind - come alive, as soon as your consciousness dissipates. You're vulnerable in your sleep, whether it be in a dream or a nightmare. Every night at exactly 10:00 PM, life in the city of Kanix comes to an abrupt halt, and everyone enters a dystopian, chaotic universe known to mankind as the Unknown. People die in this odious hell of a nightmare, and all they can do is wait to see if morning comes. There may be many creatures lurking in the shadows from dusk till dawn, but the Unknown is home to one beast in particular: The Grim Reaper. Every injury, from a mere scratch to a broken bone, is real. Everything that occurs...is real. And it's all because of the otherworldly beings that surreptitiously control the city and its people. The population of Kanix refers to them as "Karmaniacs." They are puppeteers that control each citizen, and they enjoy every moment of death, heartbreak, and vulnerability as if it were a game. After all, they don't experience fear. (cover made by the lovely @TorissaNikole)
