Frank Iero has been picked on everyday in and out of school since he first came in seventh grade. He gets called all the same insults that he did in Maine before he moved. Frank is perfectly happy with his boring, day-by-day job at Starbucks, serving randoms and regulars. He's perfectly happy with seeing Gerard-the chubby, shy man who is either there all day drawing or gone by ten a.m.-every day, and he's perfectly happy to take his order-a double-whip non-fat with soy-and tell his coworkers to make it. Gerard has a crush. He knows nothing about the guy, only that his name is Frank, he's really short, he has beautiful eyes and he dreads his hair. He also plays guitar, from what Gerard can understand about Frank griping about his band's shit performance once in a while and how he popped a string and didn't have any back-ups. Gerard is okay with liking someone he knows nothing about. Gerard is not, however, okay when he stays late one day and sees Frank get all blushy when some guy in dick-shades comes to pick Frank up. And he's definitely not okay when Frank soon starts to show up with bruises and starts to inch away from everyone-especially Gerard.

In the fifth grade, Gerard's best friend suddenly moved away. Gerard dealt with depression over it, but now he has a freak move. When they conviently end up in the same small town, will Frank remember Gerard?

"You can run away with me, anytime you want." I want to get away. Away from the abuse at home, at school hell, but we're not friends. I could never be friends with Gerard Way. He's just some guy that fate seems to drive me towards. His brother may be even more of asshole than him, making my school life living hell and I guess things at home are not too great either. And despite how much of an asshole Gerard Way is, he's the only one that seems to make anything better.

Frank Iero and Gerard Way have been in My Chemical Romance for twelve years, but when they break up, everything falls apart in front of them.
