Every so often, demons from the Realm of Chaos invade the realm of the living, claiming many victims with claw, fire, or curse. The Third Outbreak, the first to spread across the entire north-western land, resulted in all-out war for over a decade. Humanity rode to battle against thousands of demons, and the conflict culminated into a single battle at the source of the evil. Many were involved in the conflict, from legendary warriors such as Chaosbane Akarin, to the offspring of farmers such as Flann of Mirth. Arthen of Richter, historian, collected several journals and conducted interviews with survivors of the Outbreak, to improve our understanding of the demons and the Realm of Chaos. ***Feedback needed! -- Revision complete!*** Entry 1: Fate or Luck The first part of the tale of Flann, one of the many victims of the Outbreak who was cursed and condemned to the hellish native realm of the demons . There she would remain until their day of salvation. Entry 2: Mirth Amidst War Upon her rescue from the Realm of Chaos, Flann joined the fight alongside the Legionnaires of Light, a sacred order of warriors and priests who exist to fight Chaos. She hopes to save as many innocent people as she can from the clutches of the demons, but she must fight for her own life as well as that of her childhood friend and partner Walgen. War rages on and countless lives have been lost. Only time knows whether they fall to the ever-oppressing feeling of doom, or the claws of demons. ***Further entries will be added, but not for some time. I would like some feedback on my prose. Zombies. Such a funny word, that. Zombies. They are a thing of fiction. At least, they used to be but not anymore. Now, my world is plagued by the walking dead. Gone are the days where I burrow my frightened head behind a throw pillow while I watch The Walking Dead with my family. The T.V show, if I must clarify, not the weird dead things doing an odd mix of the shuffle and the box step outside my window right now. Their arms thrown out in front of them for stability - giving them a frankinstein-ish look, minus the bolts in the head - while they try to break into my locked house with their unresponsive limbs in an attempt to crack open my skull and munch on my juicy brains. Too graphic? I apologize. I'd like to say I've survived the zombie apocalypse and lived to tell the tale, but I can't. Because I'm smack-dab in the middle of it.
