Being Cato's friend, she reluctantly agrees to aid him, pushing her feelings to the side. The two teens, along with help from some other friends, get themselves knee deep in drama, heartbreak, and all other kinds of crazy. Cato begins to change, and Clove doesn't like it. At all. When an Uprising took down all of the districts in Panem besides one, District 13, which was obliterated, The Hunger Games started. Every year one boy and one girl get chosen to go to the Capitol, get pampered, get trained, and then get shoved out into an arena to fight to the death. When Clove Summers is reaped, she can only hope that someone will volunteer for her so she can stay in the comfort of home with the boy she loves, Cato. When no one volunteers, Clove realizes that she will be up against 23 other kids, killing them. And one of those people happen to be Cato. Will their love survive the games or will it tear them apart?
