What happens when one day a year you can go out and kill anyone you please -- with no consequences? It's up to you, stay inside and wait it out, or go out and join the celebration. Murder Day was my first dream turned short story, it inspired me to transcribe more of my subconscious wonderings and share them with you all. Some are frightening, some are sad, and maybe some day there might even be a happy one or two?

Alex Pennington is not your average girl. Taken in by the intelligence agency at birth, they train her to become their finest covert agent. Master of Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu-Jitsu, and Judo, she can kick any grown man's ass on a daily basis. However, she enjoys playing with her 25 caliber hand gun in her spare time. In the midst of her training and test operations, she has never encountered the real world, let alone normal teenage social situations. So, when Alex suddenly is thrust into high school to protect the "package," will she survive?

This is not a happy story. Please, don't read it if you're looking to be entertained. I took the original abstract piece that was posted here and turned it into a fully fleshed out essay for a college class; I made my classmates weep. I'm updating the post in the hopes that the additional details, anecdotes, and reflections could help someone who needs to know they are not alone.

I don't even remember half of what goes on here. :) In 2010, I had an idea for a story. It started out called "Miranda", got to about 6 chapters, and was as good as a 13yo's third "proper" story could be. Dragon's Tooth is the next three year's worth of trying to make something of that idea... there's a few different versions in here, all of which I am leaving up as a monument to my writing journey. In late 2013/early 2014 I started on the "final version" of what is now called "The Blood of a Human, The Blood of a Dragon".
