Frank Iero recently moved, and since then his life has been hell. And the most irritating festive season has returned: Christmas. As Frank deals with stressful family problems, he slowly gets more depressed and heads straight into the ground. Despite the psychologist's best efforts, he hasn't returned to his usual happy self. This changes the day he officially meets Gerard. The mysterious black haired boy brings him out of his misery and shows him the true meaning of love, and a Christmas spirit.

The man, who was so overjoyed to torture the rest of us with his cold air, is wearing not only an overcoat but a grey scarf. His hands are covered with splotches of rainbow colored paints. His hair matches his overcoat (or vice versa) and his eyes resemble the shade of a serpent’s skin. And Frank has never seen anyone more beautiful.

Gerard is pulled out of the sea on Frank's third day aboard. His hair is very black and his skin is very white, when he speaks, his accent is thick and foreign.

Gerard Way is your stereotypical vampire. Black hair, pale skin and piercing eyes. He dresses in his black clothing and usually hangs about by himself in the shadows. The twist? He's not actually a vampire. No one believes him, and he is forced into a bubble; cast out by society. A time comes when he is forced to run. Run from home, his family, everything he knew. He runs to the one place that he is accepted, and yet it's probably the most dangerous place for someone like him.

Gerard has had a tough life. Drugs and alcohol drove him to the point of mental illness. Now Gerard is over his addiction, the illness almost non-existent, and he's just starting his new life with Frank.
