Fire Captain Maya Bishop got ready for her shift at Station 19 and went to work just like every other shift she had done. However, during a call with her long-term girlfriend Dr Carina Deluca she heard what sounded like crying coming from outside the station. Upon further investigation, she discovered the noise was coming from a child. She took the child into her office and quickly formed a bond with them That's when Maya realised, this child was to be the next adventure in her life... Inspired by lovatic_f story "Maya's Next Step" (when coming up with the name for my story I didn't realise how similar they were until after I posted it) With that, I am in no way going to copy or steal their ideas. I was just very inspired by what they wrote.

Maya left 19 just after she was made Captain years ago. Now her girlfriend Carina needs to move to Seattle to take care of her brother. Obviously Maya comes with her, however the only free captains position is at 19 and that leads to a very interesting reunion. Through time the team realizes it wasn't Mayas desicion to leave and what she has been through in the last couple of years.

Carina Deluca along with her brother Andrew Deluca are the owners and CEO's of one of the biggest design companies in the world called Deluca Designs. She is newly divorced after 10 years and has a 5 year old daughter named Giovanna. After her husband cheated on her with her last assistant it was time for her to get a new one. Her brother said that he knew the best person for the job but failed to mention it was Maya Bishop. Her first heart break. Maya Bishop is new to the city of Los Angeles. she's originally from Seattle but she recently lost her Job as a receptionist. Her childhood best friend Andrew Deluca offered her a place to stay and a job as an assistant in his company. Little did she know it was an assistant for his older sister Carina Deluca.
