How come simply going to the grocery store can change your life for the better? Somehow it did for me and I got a boyfriend out of it. So read along and experience my awkward and I guess cute first time dating adventure. There is romance, and then action later in the book. Because of some secrets turning a 180° on the relationship, danger becomes prominent and is around every corner. I even learn of a whole new world and more about myself. With a mix of reality and fiction, this book is like a diary. But please don't try to distinguish what is my real life or not. I just know it's fantastic.

It was an old house, full of antique furniture, creaking floor boards, and dust bunnies. Physically, it was a rather ordinary house. There was no sparkle of magic about the dark winding staircase that lead to a tower-like bedroom. There was nothing scary about the dusty, dark rooms or the shattered windows. There was no mystery in the way things had been left behind- a little girl's dolly, a family portrait, a closet or two full of old, moth-scented clothes. It was all rather ordinary and in desperate need of repair right down to the smallest nail. However, there was one unique quality about the house. Rory didn't figure it out immediately as it was hidden under years of dust and dirt. But, in her dark tower bedroom was a huge picture window. And as she scrubbed and scrubbed away the dirt, bright sunshine began to fill her room, warming her cheeks. At least, she thought it was sunshine. Little did she know that it was magic.

A modern twist on the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast. They were all crazy. I was certain they were. Serial killers! Psychopaths! Maniacs! Until, suddenly, they weren't. Suddenly, their craziness made sense; their stories became true. My fear turned into love and my instinct to flee turned into a desire to stay. It didn't happen they way they thought it would- the breaking of the curse. I did everything against the book. Quite literally. The story books and movies were all wrong. Adam wasn't a beast. Gaston wasn't a villain. (He also wasn't named Gaston.) It was all . . . different and no one could have prepared me for the ending. My name is Avery and this is the story of how I was the real beauty to a totally unexpected beast.
