Ajax Holdren didn't think his life could get much worse, until a pretty girl with a sword decided to fight a monster right outside his house. But it turns out the monster is after him, and she's what passes for a guardian angel. They call themselves Nightlights, and they use the remains of alien technology-- and magical swords-- to fight the living darkness that preys on sentient life. They live in a tower discovered by humanity a thousand years ago via portals controlled by the tower itself. And the very best Nightlights are young adults. Most of them begin the training as children... But once Ajax meets Natalie, he can't go back, can't pretend the monsters aren't there. The power awakened inside him-- and his own relentless need for a place-- drives him forward. But stepping through that portal takes him into a alien world, where the walls talk and the sun never shines, and humankind's worst enemy isn't the monsters who stalk the street but the people who make them. It's basically what the title says... I write to vent, so don't expect it all to make perfect sense.

The utter most inner thoughts and feelings of one who has but no other way to express them and therefore without a pen a paper she very much may spontaneously combust in an explosion of secrets bottled up for far far too long. : )

[Completed]: (6/23/15) Ranks: #1 in poems (1/4/19) #35 in books (12/16/18) I crawl and stand up to sit on my bed. I felt like an accomplished spy who just ran away from something bad. Dylan turned and sat on my bed. "You do know I'm still here right?" he asked. I ignore him and pull my notebook out and begin to draw what I was currently feeling. Embarrassment. "Do you always do that? draw and write out your feelings? why do you always do that, why don't you just face your problems head on?" he talks but I'm not really listening to him, I just continue to draw and suddenly my notebook is ripped away from my hands. "Hey what are you doi-" he cuts me off by kissing me. What. The. Actual. Hell? ************************************************** Lacey loves to read and write her own poems. She's a girl with Anxiety. Now meet Dylan the sarcastic, narcissist who breaks the laws all the time winding up in jail. He has his reasons for why. Follow Lacey's hard journey and Dylan's rough secret life in an amazing original story.

Wuthering Heights is a wild, passionate story of the intense and almost demonic love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, a foundling adopted by Catherine's father. After Mr Earnshaw's death, Heathcliff is bullied and humiliated by Catherine's brother Hindley and wrongly believing that his love for Catherine is not reciprocated, leaves Wuthering Heights, only to return years later as a wealthy and polished man. He proceeds to exact a terrible revenge for his former miseries. The action of the story is chaotic and unremittingly violent, but the accomplished handling of a complex structure, the evocative descriptions of the lonely moorland setting and the poetic grandeur of vision combine to make this unique novel a masterpiece of English literature.
