She was drinking Coke and talking to her friend, which he recently realized is a routine of hers. He knew her well; from the hallways, as well as class. He knew she spent days with her head in a book, or talking to the same group of people. There was nothing really special about her, nor did she catch anyone's eye for longer than five seconds. It confused him how she seemed to like it that way. He also knew that she was not just hard to get, but nearly impossible to. For someone as confident as him, he doubted himself quite a bit when it came to her. Nevertheless, he turned to his friend, a relaxed and casual look on his face, making him seem almost bored. It makes me so glad to see him like this, happy and with me, after all of the things we’ve been through I didn’t think that our relationship would be able to survive. When I look back at our old memories, I just laugh at myself because I didn’t believe him, I hated him because I thought he betrayed me. I wanted Zayn to leave my life, but now, HE is my life, I don’t know how I will live without him now, he has supported me, with everything and everywhere and made me stronger. It’s quite ironic that in life the person who brings out the best in you and makes you strong is actually your biggest weakness. We both have been through alot; this is our story, the story of us; how we came together and got separated by the circumstances. From the point I used to hate him till the point I deeply fell in love with him. But it all happened because of Limo; if he wouldn’t be there, I would have hated Zayn all my life. She's been able to see ghosts since her mother tried to murder her when she was five years old. No way does she want anyone to know she can talk to spooks. Being a foster kid is hard enough without being labeled a freak too. Normally, she just ignores the ghosts and they go away. There's a little glitch this time. The ghost she sees is her foster sister, Sally. Everyone thinks she's just another runaway. Mattie knows the truth, though-she's dead, murdered. Foster kids look out for each other and Mattie feels like she has to help Sally, but she can't do it alone. Against her better judgment, she teams up with a young police officer and together they set out to discover the truth of Sally's disappearance. Now the killer has set his sights on her. It becomes a race to see if she can find the truth before the serial killer finds her.
