An arranged marriage, a destitute bride, and a groom who loves another woman. What on Earth could go wrong? ***** Ida Weaver never had anything to her name. Ida decides it's worth it- and after meeting her groom, realizes that he is in love with someone else. Classically, his father disapproves of the match. "Snow is a remarkable thing, really," said Kate. "Every single flake is different. And the falling just blocks everything else out- it's a curtain of peace, falling from the sky as another Christmas gift from God." Travis laughed a mocking laugh, his head thrown back and away from his sister. "All I see snow as is a larger heating bill." Kate clenched her fists under the dinner table. "You'll see, Travis," she muttered to herself. "I'll tell you. Or, anyways, Albert will." It wasn't a challenge. But she accepted it like one. ***** The youngest child, Kate Willis has always been ignored by everyone except her beloved piano, Albert. Told by doctors that she would not live to see fifteen, she has all but given up at thirteen and isolated herself completely. When her brother 'challenges' her, Kate cannot help but rise to meet him, but her time is running out, and there is little she can do. So she turns to her last and best friend- Albert. Kate knows that she has little time, and so she pours her soul- and, quite possibly, her life- into a final composition. The video at the end is an original composition written and performed by the author.

This is a story about Robin Hoods daughter. I originally wanted to do a Robin Hood re-telling, but I couldn't think of a plot. ........................................................ Emmalina has been an orphan since she was twelve. Her mother had died from the fever and her father had left on a crusade when she was three. She kept her family a secret from everyone she met, not wanting to think about it. She lived as a ward in the castle, helping the maids and the stable hands as much as she could. Work kept her mind off her past. The only true friends she had were 19 year old Callum McClain and Dax, her black-footed ferret. She had a sickness that grew in her for years and she never told anyone. It grew worse over the years and one day, her mind brings an old enemy of her family down upon her. As the castle burns, secrets unfold...
