Ryan is an orphan living in the streets of a small town. Most of his life has been spent in the streets, and he's become an expert at hiding. He hides from everyone--from the police, from his fellow street-dwellers, from the public. But recently, as a result of the flood that just swept through the town, taking with it some apparently priceless pieces of art, the town has gotten a lot of publicity. It's all Ryan can do to steer clear of the reporters swarming all over the place. But he knows he can stay out of their way. Or can he? NOTE: This is set in a world very similar to ours, but not entirely. In this particular section of this world, the law doesn't pay much attention to the homeless. The authorities won't look for them, but if they see them, they'll bring it to the notice of those higher up, who (depending on the street-dweller's age) might send them to an orphanage.
