I wanted to bleed out right in that bathroom, but he had to stop me; why does he even care? Why would Vic Fuentes, the perfect senior care enough to stop me dying. That's never enough of course, so can he really stop me wanting to die?

Kellin Quinn's wife leaves him, and Vic Fuentes is heartbroken over his supposed to be fiancé. They're in awful states in both of their lives, until they meet unexpectedly. The two have an immediate connection. They feel comfortable around eachother, even though they haven't known eachother for long. Will the 2 become more then friends, or will Kellin and Vic both try to win their ex's back ?

Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better. Three years. that's all it's taken for Vic Fuentes to lose hope in the guy he once loved. Kellin Quinn, now 24, is pursuing his dream and love of music, but times are hard for them both. Vic, who still does therapy has not moved on since that morning he awoke to find no Kellin in his bed. Kellin though, he was long gone. Now in a steady relationship with Oliver Sykes, Kellin's mind hasn't slipped back to Vic, not yet anyways. But it will.

But after the murder of his mother and father, Kellin is forced to live with his grandparents; who then hire a bodyguard to protect him--Vic. His primary goal is to protect Kellin, whether he likes it or not. Vic doesn't care if Kellin approves of him, all he wants to do is protect him. Vic soon becomes the only person to treat Kellin like any regular person. And that's just what Kellin loves about him.
