"Kyle!" He gave me a big smile.
"Sam, never do that ever again. I would have seriously thought you were dead if I couldn't see your chest moving." I gave him a small, awkward hug since I couldn't give him a real one when he had that sling on. "I'm just glad you're okay." I whispered over his shoulder.
He shivered and whispered back a thanks, "Thank you for saving me and calling Nine-One-One."
We didn't let go for a second longer, I was trying to savour the feeling of him in my arms. He gently backed up a few centimeters. I was looking directly in his green eyes. And he, my blue. It was like everything was in slow motion around us.
"Kyle." Sam said my name.
"Sam."
"I really like you..." He breathed out, moving forward some, his eyes fluttering closed.
I didn't even say anything back, I just closed my eyes, and pressed my lips against his soft pink ones. It was a sweet, loving kiss. My first, acctually. He put his good arm around my neck and I placed one of my hands on the small of his back, so that he wouldn't fall back. My other hand went down to the bed to help support me, I didn't want to fall over either.
The kiss only lasted a few seconds but it felt like forever in my mind. Drifting away from him, in a hushed voice, I said, "I really like you, too, Sam..."
