"'Things change; people don't.' That's my favorite quote of all time. Not gonna lie, I have no idea who said it, but I know someone did because nothing's original, right? I love it because I think it's so true: you find ten, maybe twenty people in your whole life who you'll never forget. They could be good memories, bad memories... But they're memories that for some reason you just can't let go. Your house will change, your taste of music will change; I hope to God your choice of friends change in the future... But... People will always get under your skin, and they'll always be the same. For better and for worse, I'm glad things are like that. The only thing that hurts more than a knife in the back is no knife at all. A scar is a souvenir: it says 'You survived. I'm your proof that you survived.' And maybe I'm weird for thinking like that, but I like opting not to forget. Fuck goodbyes, ya know? I'd rather be hated than forgotten." ~Sebastian Varcoe ~~~ Welcome to The Worst are Always Welcome. This novel is a WIP! I don't have a rigorous writing schedule like a lot of authors here, but I'm trying! On the brighter side, I've developed almost 2/3rds of the story in an outline, so all I gotta do is put it into words that people will enjoy. Not much more can be said, but I promise updates and progress in the near future. ~Felix TRIGGER WARNING: Full disclosure, I'm a profound person. This novel deals with moral ambiguity, drug abuse, depression, death, human sociology, and most of all: change. Reader discretion is advised. MATURE CONTENT WARNING: This novel can be very surreal and graphic. There are scenes of violence and chaos that can be disturbing. There are also very emotional scenes that may break your heart and or fill you with rage. Prepare to cry.
