Along the way, she gets in trouble with sylvia, Dally's girlfriend. Dally causes her to go back home. When she comes back as a 16 year old, she finds out that the gang was miserable without her around. Will the gang keep her from going back home again? Will Dally confess his true feelings for her? Mariah has lived in South Dakota for a really long time. She's been talking to this guy named sodapop Curtis and they were finally gonna meet. Man she's scared to death.

I felt lost. My will felt shattered - I felt like a house that had imploded on itself. "But why? Why are we here? Maybe he needed to escape. Note: This story is slowly being edited due to the fact that I wrote this almost a year ago and it isn't exactly well written. Feel free to still read it but please know that this isn't the best as it can be at the moment.
