He's also the very first one to have ever beaten Rei in a duel, and soon becomes her friend, classmate in the World of the Living, and rival in both worlds. To make things even worse, Rei owes Haruto for saving her life. However, though Rei remains oblivious, Haruto slowly begins falling for her. Meanwhile, a new threat is emerging, one that seems to be able to control all the Hollows, and is determined to destroy the living world and Soul Society by opening the Gates of Hell and unleashing the horrors within. And the key to opening the Gates is none other than Rei Asaka.
