In the far distant future, the human race has vanished - replaced by the Furrae - hybrids of beast and man. Acres of land lie barren, and magick has become a reality. Abigail, a young lemur-wolf hybrid begins her term at the University of Magick, but something foul is afoot, and nothing is at it seems. This was my NaNoWriMo novel back in 2003 and still sits unfinished on my hard-drive. It is an epic - already spanning nearly 100,000 words. Please excuse the terrible cover. My art has improved greatly in the last 9 years, and I WILL be redoing it, when I finish this tale. Inspiration lies in Harry Potter, Patrick Rothfuss, China Mieville, Redwall, Phillip Reeve, ElfQuest and whatever else I was reading at the time.

My current story is a novel about a shifter named Aura-lee. She comes from a long line of shape-shifters, in her case Hawks. Not only are they shape-shifters, but magicians as well. When Aura’s best friend, Alex (Shape-shifter wolf) is murdered, and a strange voice emits from the forest, things go downhill for the hawks, serpents, and wolves. Especially when the Emerald princess arrives and requests Aura’s help. Lakita is up to something, but no-one really knows what. Everyone but Aura and her mentors Zitora, Kunzite and Larimar believe her, they think she is up to something. Aura has to travel back with Lakita on horseback to the Crystal Isles, (a four day trek) and finds herself in more danger than she can handle. She has to leave everyone behind, her friends, her boyfriend, Leif, and her family. Along the way, she meets a dashing young man, Adrian, who leads her astray. Is he more trouble than he's worth? My Current Work in Progress! Not yet edited. So, if you find an error, please be kind about it. Thanks, Adamantia
