Adrio debería ser una de las personas más famosas de la Tierra, ya que fue uno de los primeros trece humanos en la historia en formar parte de los cuerpos de paz de la galaxia, los Metalos. Además, por su desempeño y coraje fue el primero en alcanzar el rango de Cobre y ser nombrado líder de su escuadrón. También, muy pronto tendrá la insólita oportunidad de ser el primer humano en integrar una misión secreta junto a la elite dentro de los Metalos, los implacables Ozza Mons. Sin embargo, en la Tierra pocos saben de su existencia y casi nadie sabe siquiera que existan otras razas inteligentes además de los humanos. El propósito es un cuento corto de ciencia ficción en donde se relata la crónica de la conquista de la Tierra por una raza extraterrestre amante del orden y del propósito. Es una historia de como las prioridades y todo puede cambiar. Incluso la raza humana puede cambiar de un segundo para otro y conseguir un propósito de su propia existencia.

MINDSLIP is the catastrophe which hits the Earth at 8.15am GMT next Wednesday morning. It began six hundred and fifty years earlier when Betelgeuse fulfilled its long-held prophecy to turn supernova. The radiation, gamma rays and gravitational waves hit the Earth at the same time as a coronal mass ejection. The combined bombardment causes all creatures on the Earth to swap minds, leaving people in animals, animals in people, men in women and children in adults. The nightmare which follows becomes a social and economic catastrophe. Geoffrey Arnold becomes a key figure in the government catastrophe committee, formed to resolve the myriad issues raised by MINDSLIP. Power generation, the health service, farming, pay, pensions, education, the banking system and asset ownership spiral into chaos. In addition, Geoffrey must save his wife from an imminent premature death brought on by one of the MINDSLIP effects. MINDSLIP is a realistic, frightening and sometimes amusing work of imagination which explores how people and families react to the world being changed beyond recognition. Ariel Rubinak, the first astronaut with the mission to travel outside the solar system got stranded, jumping around in time and space, ending up having lunch at a 50's themed Diner in an asteroid far away from Earth, embarking on her own space adventure to discover universal truths about time, space, memories, and self existence...obviously having a nice cup of coffee once and while.
