I wish my life was normal. Two years ago I was like any other girl, trying to fit in, life was based around my family, friends, GCSE's, boys and the internet. That was when I was happy, well kind of anyway. Soon it all went wrong. Grandpa died. The one who I could tell anything wasn't there anymore and I couldn't release my pent-up feelings.

Angel Rose lived in a normal life; she lived with her older brother and parents and helped her family run their music shop. She was content with her life, even with the occasional bullying she had to be put through. But one car accident ends all the normalcy in her life. At fourteen Angel was taken away from her home to live in foster care while her brother, nineteen at the time, tried to fight for custody of her. Not being able to win against the judge, Angel couldn't live with her brother but, thankfully, they left her in a home that was in Baltimore. Now at sixteen and her brother at twenty-one, Angel only has to make it through one more year until she can leave and live with her brother. But what happens when a new boy gets dropped into the home and refuses to open to anyone? Angel has found her next challenge.

Gwendolyn takes her chances and decides maybe it's best she wasn't here, when Alex Gaskarth happens to drive by and talk to her, she starts to question if she's made the right choice.
