What happens when the Faction Island and Panem come into contact? As a sign of truce between the two nations, the people of the Faction Island are forced to spread out among the districts of Panem, to teach those citizens their way of life. When every father of every family, every lone mother, and every eldest must decide what faction they will live in, a new form of submission among the people is created. The factions have become current in every district. The great Faction Island has been turned into the new Capitol, and the old Capitol of Panem has been inherited by Faction Island officials and renamed the Summit. The Divergent Games have been created to continue to teach the new and original citizens of Panem that even with this new way of culture, they are still unable to stand up against the strength of the Capitol. My name is Renee Belladonna. I live in District 11 with my mother Kalyca and my baby brother Tyson. Myself and my one and best friend Kelli are the only female baseball players of District 11, for the main reason of which we do it in secrecy. I am fourteen years old, and I am Dauntless. I was chosen for the Divergent Games, and I will not go down without a fight.

I fought for my life while living with my uncle, who abused us children daily. I fought for the answer to the choice that would change my life forever- picking a home, staying in Abnegation with my abusive uncle, going with my cousin only for him to merge off into a new crowd- the Dauntless, or go to where the type of people and the knowledge, are in my blood- Erudite. I struggled to see the light in everything that was happening around me- the attacks on my family, the mind control, and the secrets. I struggled to fit in when my heart was obviously more reckless. I lost love, family, my heart- for this, this war plan. I lost Tobias, my sanity, my blood. I was part of this scheme, this war plan on Abnegation and the mind control over Dauntless; I wish I could say I had no idea of the danger- but I do, I know the full extent of the damage that has been done. I had a serious part in it, I worked side by side with the master minds and the rest of their evil genius goons. I became one but I still held onto one thing- and that one thing, is helping me end this war. Tobias.
