I lasted all of one week before I caved in and started writing the voices in my head again. ### SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MOVIE ### This takes place over a year after the HBO Looking movie ended. Patrick left for Texas with Richie. Kevin left for London with Jon. But they are my OTP so how could I let them stay so far apart? This will not make any sense if you do not know the show. I don't explain the history. If you want to know how I feel about Kevin, I wrote a whole story from his POV called 'How Did We Get Here'. Also, this is M/M fan fiction.

NOT ORIGINAL - this is the combination of my two other stories, 'How Did We Get Here' (Kevin's POV) & 'A Simple Man' (Patrick's POV), with the chapters interweaved together in the right 'time' line. This is my interpretation of the inner workings of Patrick Murray and Kevin Matheson, my two favorite characters from my favorite television show, Looking, from HBO. M/M graphic scenes.

Coming to a new school Patrick faces many different situations. Somehow falling for a boy makes it all easier and harder at the same time.

I'm a full supporter of Kevin and I really hope that he and Patrick can work things out. They have been through too much to just let it end like it did in 210. I would have been perfectly happy if Richie's scene was cut out at the end. I don't fully understand the last minute of the season finale, but I also believe that was done on purpose to confuse the audience, or just to confuse me. I thought Patrick and Richie were done. I felt like they were done by 205, if not, at least by 208, once Patrick told Kevin that he was in love with him. I don't see the appeal of Richie, and frankly I don't think he is good for Patrick. Patrick seems to be his happiest and his true self with Kevin and I love that. Patrick doesn't have to hide who he is or suppress his emotions with Kevin.

HBO Looking has provided me with countless hours of entertainment and inspiration - I feel I understood Kevin, after all who could help falling in love with Patrick, but now I need to get into Patrick's head and see if I can understand the future he was building in his head... A familiarity with the show helps!
