Annabel Archer was always a rough and tumble kind of girl when she was growing up. In a house with two older sisters Annabel decided she didn't want anything to do with the "sensitive and delicate" lifestyle she assumed all girls lived. When Annabel misses her bus one night she doesn't realize how much that curse is also a blessing. Because of one missed bus Annabel finds herself in the middle of football try-outs. After she blocks a blind and blundering player with barely a second thought, the coaches and players all have to take a second look at the young Annabel Archer.
