*Will be editing someday soon* 14-year-old Skylar lives in a world full of Pokemon, where you can only catch one type. Skylar trains the dark type, but she has broken the rules. Mark, Skylar's brother, is the leader of Team Hope, and she is second in command. They are trying to turn the world around, to let them have their own Pokemon, not just the ones of their type. Skylar has a Taillow, not a dark type at all. She must go on a mission to retrieve files and destroy a machine the government plans on using to take over Pokemon, located in Snowpoint City. The fate of all Pokemon rests on Skylar, and her pokemon, Absol, Weavile, Houndour, and Taillow. But, of course, she runs into people that she can't just get rid of, the water trainer, Barry, the fighting trainer, Lucas, and the flying trainer, Dawn. How does she cope with having to stay undercover with a bunch of trainers she just met? And how can she keep quiet about the fact she can talk to Pokemon? Well, you have to read it to find out. I do not own pokemon, but I do own my characters. They are from my imagination. Enjoy! My interpretation of Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. I will be following the line of events set by Pokemon liberally. The difference between my protagonist and theirs is that mine speaks their mind. Like all normal people do. VATONAGESHIPPING!! I will throw in a few "bad words" here and there, but that's because the word will make more sense there, or it is what the character would say. Reader, heed my warning!

(Note: This story follows a few months after First Light. Spoilers to First Light are in this story) Dawn and Paul have been traveling together for a year and a couple for a few months. Everything in their lives seems to be going smoothly- Contests, training, and even love. That is, until they get stuck staying in Fiducia Town, where Paul is met by ghosts the past and a bothersome little twerp who softly pushes at him to open up and truly let go of the nightmares. Can Paul overcome the memories that have haunted him for the past ten years, or will he be lost in darkness?

When I was born, I had no idea what the hard life that was planned out for my future would be like. When I was six, a strange, feminine voice that didn't sound human began to visit me in my dreams. When I woke up from that dream, I could understand what every living thing around me was saying, even Pokemon. When I was eighteen, my father was murdered in his lab, and his killer was never found. When the police told my mother and I to give up hope since the killer didn't leave a trace, neither of us did, but we decided to move back to our hometown in Kalos close to my uncle. And on my first day in Vaniville Town, I met the man I would soon make my best friend, and who would help me cope with my loss and eventually save Kalos from a hidden evil named Team Flare.
