Dan was tortured by a school bully as a child. As an adult, he still has nightmares about it. He soon finds out an astonishing secret about himself. Gah! crappy summary, sorry. If Phan is real(which it probably is) I guess this is how they fell in love. When teenager Dan meets the guy he had been obsessing over the internet in real life he develops a crush on him. He keeps denying those tingly sensations and increased heartbeats but how long will he deny the undeniable?

Phil gets bullied. Oneday, after his unusually rough beating, he meets Dan. They soon develop a friendship, stronger than anything, which soon turns to love. But when Phil is left to decide on who he truly loves, will he go with Dan, or someone from the past?

Phil doesn't talks. Well, not anymore. The last time he said something, was when he didn't hate himself. And that was a long time ago. But now, everything is different. He must struggle with depression, whilst new boy Dan Howell desperately attempts to win him over. [Warning: this could be triggering at some points]

Dan Howell is a timid boy, who always does as he is told. He was once friends with Phil Lester, the 'bad influence' who soon ditches Dan for the popular group in Year 7. After five years of not talking to each other, they're partnered in a project and Phil's wants to win Dan over just like he has with most of their year. But yet, Dan is determined to find out what Phil is hiding behind his arrogant mask.

Everything was like a puzzle that had yet to be put together. It was like all the pieces were there, but you didn't know where to connect them and how they fit in. Dan was the puzzle, and I wanted to know how to solve it.
