Erika Soto is one of those pretty plastic people. She's been rated a nine by the senior boys every single Monday, and at a school where secrets and weaknesses are taken advantage of, a high rating is a ticket to the school's elite. But there's more to Erika and the Aquino High royalty she surrounds herself with: there's regret, flaws, and a single night that rips them all apart. And after years of clawing her way to the top, for the first time she can see things clearly: she's done with only being pretty and plastic. As her life starts to unravel and her perspectives on everyone she thought she knew change, she has to make a quick decision between living at the top of the pyramid and living with herself. And even if she does choose to take a stand, who's to stay she'll succeed? Can the girls on top really overthrow a system that's years in the making?

2015©| I never really got to know "Joey". But I got to know Jo-Vaughn very well. I got to know the prodies too but my heart was completely set on Jo-Vaughn. You could say I was head over heels but always hid it while around him and the prodies. I always kept my hopes up because I was only 3 years younger than him. I listened to their cyphers without them knowing because one of them would shoo me away and the whole group would go along with it to shut him up. They were talented...very talented. In 10th grade I was alone so I began to drown myself in clothes. Although Joey graduated he was still up there everyday as if he was held back but we didn't talk much....not at all really. I became closed up and boxed in focusing strictly on fashion and school. The people that knew me were ghost that I looked right through. They acted as if I was a alien and they were the last humans on earth. I soon got use to it and cut them off just as they did me. My hopes that maybe me and Joey would be a thing was gone.

Book 2 They say love is a hell of an addiction. More powerful than any drug, more dangerous than any force hatred is capable of. Love makes you blind, intoxicated and worse than anything else unbalanced beyond measure. Love is titling off the edge of a cliff, closed eyed and weight unleveled and blindly trusting your partner to save you every time without a flinch or second thought. Love is the connection, the rope that lies in your partners hand and keeps you from falling.. too deep or too far from beyond their reach. Love is the intimacy of knowing when to say when.. when to give up... when the rope has been pulled too many times, weakened far over repairing. Love is also the act of never letting go so once your partner pulls one last time, the rope strings apart and continues falling, you fall unapologetically right behind them. --- Chance and Devyn's love wasn't unexpected and neither was chaos that followed. Nothing in their lives has ever been expected yet now they strive to change that on a mission to vindicate or terminate any dangers or unknowns of their pasts. This is life or death for them, failure isn't an option. Demons from the past emerge, secrets began to unravel, lies are told, heads will roll, loyalties and promises will be broken, and the worst of their nightmares come true. No one said it would ever be easy. Welcome to The Fighter's Club: Survival of the Fittest.
