The Golden Trio were three of the eight students who had decided to return to Hogwarts to complete their seventh year after having been interrupted by the war. A new class had been put into effect at Hogwarts by request of the Ministry. All seventh year students were now required to take a parenting class. The Ministry had realized that more and more students were getting pregnant and didn't know anything about taking care of a child which is why this new class was being put into effect. Students were to be paired up and then afterward they would be given a letter from the Ministry explaining exactly what they would be expected to do during their school year for the class project. When the Muggle Studies class suddenly becomes mandatory in their sixth year, the Golden Trio find themselves reluctantly embarking on the classic Muggle project, better known as 'The Baby Project'. Somehow, Malfoy and Hermione end up "raising" their baby together (not that they're pleased about that). Along with having to deal with Draco being a pain in the ass (and maybe dropping their baby a couple times), she realizes that maybe the Slytherin prince isn't as bad as she always assumed - and that perhaps their feelings for each other could be the key to acing this class (to Hermione's relief).

"Draco Malfoy will be with Hermione Granger," Professor McGonagall read from her piece of parchment. "What!" they both yelled angrily. Professor McGonagall sighed before saying, "Honestly! It's not the end of the world! It's just the Baby Project!"

War changes people. War changes circumstances. But nothing could have prepared the students of Hogwarts for the set of circumstances the end of the Second Great Wizarding War would bring about.
